Hello students and families!
I am so excited to get to know each and every one of you throughout the year. We are going to have an amazing year as we learn through singing, dancing, writing, reading, moving, and exploring. I couldn't be happier to be your Kindergarten ELA teacher!
I wanted to let you know a little bit about me! I was born and raised in sunny San Diego, CA, a beautiful city close to the Mexican border.
I have a very big family, with four brothers! I have always loved to read, ever since I was in Kindergarten.
I went to college at UC Berkeley (also known as Cal), about an hour from San Jose. While I was at Cal, I studied psychology and education. I also loved to go to football games (GO BEARS!), and I worked as a peer counselor at the Berkeley Free Clinic.

After I graduated from Cal, I taught a Kindergarten summer school class in Los Angeles. This is my first year at Cornerstone Academy, and I am loving it!
When I am not teaching, I love being outdoors. I spent two summers working at a family summer camp called Lair of the Golden Bear in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
